Volunteer Your Care!

At Serenity Gardens, we are never in short supply of volunteer opportunities! With all of the chores and activities we have going on, the more hands we have to help, the better off everyone is. It doesn’t matter if you’re interested in staying behind the scenes and want to help with gardening, housekeeping, or you’d like to come to play cards or paint nails, our residents and staff love visitors. If you are a part of a community organization and want to come to practice your choir or dance routine, we’d love you to put on a show! Our residents love kids, pets, and interaction with community members. Log community service or volunteer hours or simply find a rewarding way to spend some of your free time.

Volunteer Opportunities

Having a loved one with dementia or Altzheimer’s can be difficult. However, when it comes time to find a dementia care home for your loved one, Serenity Gardens in Deer Park can help. We are a wonderful dementia care facility with caregivers who not only have years of experience with dementia and Altzheimer’s patients, but who also treat your loved one like family.

Serenity Gardens in Deer Park strives to create a family atmosphere by providing family meals, activities, and a community. Pets romp here all they like, and residents are treated like family. Sometimes with loved ones with dementia or Altzheimer’s disease, they have good days, and they have bad days. We always meet our residents right where they are at. Patience, we’ve found, is the key, and when a resident is frustrated, time almost always soothes them.

Having family support is important to us. We invite all family members, including children to visit their loved one at any time. You can stay for a long as you like (or as little). Even if your loved one does not recognize you anymore, they can feel the love you have for them as a person, and that greatly impacts their day and their time here at Serenity Gardens in Deer Park.

If you are interested in learning more about our dementia care home, reach out to our compassionate team today!
